About the Moderator

Lisa Ziv has a passion for supporting parents as they navigate their children’s mental health challenges and building more supportive schools and communities. Her reflections on Jewish holidays, traditions and texts inspire families trying to cope with uncertain times. Lisa is also a board member of the Blue Dove Foundation and will join us as a moderator for the program.

About the Speakers

Rabbi David Finkelstein has served as Temple Beth Israel’s spiritual leader since his ordination from Hebrew College Rabbinical School in 2014. Rabbi David has a deep background in and passion for providing pastoral care, teaching Jewish text and practice, engaging in community outreach, and leading participatory services, all while enriching congregational life with his love of music and storytelling.

Devin Shmueli has a deep passion, based on his own lived experience, for suicide prevention, eradicating stigma through mental health education, and ensuring that communities know how to care for one another. Before joining The Blue Dove Team, he has been providing a variety of workshops for clergy and their congregants addressing mental health concerns in the congregation and understanding and approaching conflict in congregations.
